Maybe the simplicity of it is confusing, but the voicemail beep is a cue to talk, not breathe into the phone for five seconds then hang up.

Posted at 11:33am on Sat 6 Mar 2010I'm Brian, a software developer and small business owner based out of Addison, Texas, a relatively small piece of North Dallas.
I develop primarily in C#.NET for desktop development and PHP for web development, but have experience with C, C++, and am venturing into Objective-C. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with Linux, Mac OS X, OpenSolaris, IRC protocols and services, Asterisk, iSCSI, VMWare ESX, Active Directory, Exchange, Office Communications Server, and Systems Center Configuration Manager.
I launched this site in April 2009 as a continuation of my previous blog, but with a new set of content and more of a technology based focus. The birth and demise of my prior blog exactly coincided with the start and finish of a 6-year chapter in my life; it is therefore appropriate that this blog begins with the start of a new chapter as well.
It would be too boring to discuss only technology, so you may find a light mix of entries related to around-the-house projects, movies, music, and current events.
You can reach me in any of the following ways. I make every effort to answer all e-mails.
